Deep Ellum plays a homespun brand of soulful Americana they call bootcut boogie, cosmic country, and roadhouse rock ‘n roll. Fronted by singer-songwriter David Glasebrook, the group evokes the swampy blues and greasy southern soul of Creedence Clearwater Revival, the backwoods beat of The Band, and the working-man poetics of The Grateful Dead. “Welcome to Deep Ellum” is their first release.
